Andersonite, Uraninite, Schoepite oh my! The whole back room of this secret mine was aglow and the radon had settled at the lowest point to give a reading in mid air of over 500,000 cpm on my Radiacode 103. Most abandoned Uranium Mines lie on BLM land and have been closed off for safety but there are a few hidden gems for the brave and adventurous. I am currently in the process of finding a suitable location in the desert southwest. Seattle has been a nice break from the homeland of my desert home state of Arizona but we dearly miss it. It took about 2500 miles round trip to make this journey and the labor was intense to bring some specimens to the surface. I am not sure if this will be the one that we decide on but I am looking into creating a claim for one of these old mines for the purpose of collecting specimens to sell for reasonable cost on the market and with no middle man. Collectors deserve to find deals without such extreme mark ups. You all have been a blessing to my family and I hope to have some gifts for recent orders that I will include from my recent trip as a thank you for all of the business. It takes alot of work to post so many things so let me get to it, check back often, and be sure to grab that piece you like before anybody else snatches it! Stay tuned for the journey because it has still only just begun and should lead to many exciting adventures.
