About Us

Currently, Radioactive Rock consists of Brandon, Tracy, and their two children. Originally from the desert of Arizona but currently located in Washington. We are looking to relocate to Utah in the coming year so that we may be closer to our dreams of actually acquiring a Uranium mine in order to supply radioactive specimens and possibly even provide tours to select individuals. It is the greatest joy to personally find these minerals in their natural environment, but we have also been able to source rare and beautiful minerals from all over the world. We strive to get the majority of our specimens directly from the rockhounds and miners who pull them from the dirt. You can get high end, large, and extremely rare museum quality pieces as well as smaller affordable minerals specimens for the first time collector. Please contact us if you have radioactive rocks to sell or trade, need help finding that special piece, or have any questions at all.

Our Story

When Covid hit, our plans to live out in the desert were put on hold due to increasing prices for everything from building supplies to gas. We survived "off the grid" for 3 years in the high desert of Arizona and raised our newborn son and 3 year old daughter. When Grandmother needed care in Seattle, we packed up and moved our lives to the Pacific Northwest of the United States. After she passed, we found ourselves with a roof over our heads for a time. We made the decision of what we would enjoy most in the world and could keep us happy together. We chose to start selling minerals and other handmade items on Etsy and our store did very well until they closed our blooming shop with hundreds of 5 star reviews simply due to the radioactive nature of our mineral specimens. Though it was a huge challenge, it turned out to be the best thing that could have happened to our business. We started our website and have only just begun growing it into something that the whole world can enjoy. This is our outlet for creative expression and it allows us to homeschool our children while we hunt for hot rocks on the web and in the ground. Your support directly gives us the ability to live a humble and minimalistic lifestyle while we share our passion with radioactive mineral lovers everywhere.
